Get a move on — get going — sprint and don’t look back

In our current day, do we ever get to have moments to ourselves and think about what we want?

If you’re working a job, you’ll be meeting deadlines and talking over the cooler, and dreaming of a promotion, and lounging on the couch playing your Nintendo, and go to sleep, and repeat the cycle. It seems as though everything is set in motion, and all you have to do is to obey this track that you unknowingly set yourself.

What do you want to do? What do you want to give to the world?

These questions we have asked ourselves a million times, yet we never answer by avoiding silence. We glue ourselves to work and technology, to distract ourselves from facing the harsh truth — the void of existence.

We crave to live, yet living craves to not let us live. We have our eyes and minds open to dive into the absolute monstrosity down the block near the Party City called passion, yet life barges us down with politics, with inequality, with money.

Do we even want to contribute to this goo-covered world? Do we want to pursue our passions even if we realize that sooner or later — we’ll be living on a tiny island like the penguins in the Antarctic?

Questions like these, I have been asking myself more regularly lately, at least on a subconscious level. I look forward to the future I do I absolutely do. But what do I want to do? I have no idea.

How does one discover their passion? Is it a special gift that is given by God? Do you really feel tireless when you are working on something you like? I’ve tried things, but time seems to fade away regardless if I enjoy the activities or not. I still haven’t found my passion yet, and time is fading away like a ticking time bomb.

May the future hold me in its arms, and swaddle me like a little baby.
